Rukias Engagment Ring

It was late 7:30 am, late November and Rukia was looking the loving 4 day old baby girl in her sleeping her arms hold her ring finger.  With her free hand Rukia was rubbing her babies orange hair. "I love you so much Masaki" she whispered to her sleeping baby girl kissing her on the head. Ichigo woke up moments later "Good Morning Rukia" he said giving his wife a fast kiss on her lips. His attention turned to the baby girl sleeping in Rukia's arms. He was rubbing her hair as well, when she was awoke softly to find her father look at her. Ichigo gave her a small pat on the head and Masaki saw the white gold ring with the heart shaped diamonded. Masaki started cooing seeing the way it felt and the way it gave off a glimmer. "That's mommy's engagement ring, daddy gave it me because he wanted me to spend the rest of my life with him." Masaki kept looking at the ring, laughing as it gave off different glimmers of light. "Five years later we had you, just 4 days ago you were still in my tummy" Rukia touched her baby's nose "kicking me" she added. "And I loved every moment of it" she added those last words sweetly.  A few minutes later Rukia knew it was time to feed the baby it was hungry, like it always is in the morning. Rukia undid her nightgown and started to nurse her baby girl. "Rukia I never did ask you, does that hurt?" "Not at all Ichigo it feels wonderful" she said looking her baby. She knew the baby listens when its being breastfeed so she gets and got an idea. "Masaki, there is another story with this ring even after your father proposed to me" Ichigo smiled at the thought "Go ahead Rukia" Ichigo said wrapping her arm around the women he loves, and staring at the baby daughter he loves. "Tell her" he said kissing her cheek.

Ichigo was working in sole socity on hot summers day in the end of June, 17 more days till Ichigo and Rukia get married. Ichigo smiles at the memory of the day he proposed to her.

Flashback:
"Will you marry me and the be the mother of my children" Rukia had tears streaming down her face and looked at the ring "Yes, yes, yes I will marry you and be the mother of your children"
End Flashback:

That day was Rukia's birthday the wedding was to be on his birthday, and he was looking at the tuxedo he had picked. When Capitan Utauke ran in "Mr. Kurosaki there has been a fatal accident the battle scene" Ichigo was confused "What battle scene" he asked  "Azain came to kidnap Rukia and they had a struggle we don't know but we think she didn't make it" Ichigo's heart sank "No way that can be true I'm going over there" Ichigo said "No Kurosaki stop we don't advised loved ones to go to the scene" Ichigo turned back "She is my fiancé and I love her I'm going that's FINAL" Ichigo walked off to the scene. "Rukia please be ok" he thinks as he makes his way to the scene. After Ichigo finds the scene "Back off Kurosaki we said no loved ones searching I'm just waiting for news and I'm just as sad as you are" Buyakua said.  "Were getting married in 17 days now let me see it will hurt me more not too" Ichigo said with a grip on his Zanpaktuo. Buyakua backed off. Ichigo went into the field and saw nothing until a sparkle caught his eye. It was the ring he had give Rukia thrown there on the ground, tears filled his eyes he knew Rukia never took off the ring so the struggle must have been intense. Rukia was no were in sight. "MY BEAUTIFUL WHITE MOON, MY LOVE, AND MY LIFE WHYYYYYY" tears were falling down his cheeks with no end in sight, he heart had been shattered.


Ichigo walked away ignoring everyone he was too upset to think he knew one of 2 thing's for sure
1. Azian had kidnapped Rukia
2. Azian had killed Rukia
Ichigo doesn't know why but he just knows in his heart that she is dead.  Ichigo sits there inconsolable for 2 hours until "I'm sorry" Buyakua said "All signs point to the fact that Rukia has passed on, she is declared legally dead"  Ichigo didn't fell angry he couldn't fell angry his heart was to broken at this point. Ichigo sits there all day staring that the ring, and thinking of all memories him and Rukia could have had. He clutches the ring places his head down on the table and cries like he never has before. This was just like the moment he lost his mother, except this time there was no body and no way he could say goodbye to her properly.

Buyakua came in "Ichigo we brought you some rice and  ..." "Not hungry" he cut off Buyakua. Buyakua could see he was suffering "ok well we just leave it here in case you want some later" said softly " I told you I'm not hungry" Ichigo looked up and Buyakua could see his tears, and took the food and walked away.  Even Buyakua felt bad even he didn't like the fact of Kurosaki marrying his little sister he saw how in love they are and he knew he couldn't break her heart.

Ichigo's face was a mix of fresh and old tears, he couldn't stop crying. He couldn't sleep, eat, rest his heart was far to broken for that. He just stared at the ring in his hand he remembered they day he walked by the ring shop and saw it in the window.
Flashback:
He was going to propose to Rukia the next day but he couldn't find a ring he had been looking for over 3 months, but when he saw this one he knew it was the one for Rukia. He walked into the shop took went up to the man and asked "Can I see that heart shaped one please" the man walked over to it and picked it out. Ichigo held it in his hand, he looked at it and he knew it was perfect "I will take it" the man looked at him funny "are you sure I have other selections" "No I'm 110% sure this is the one I want" the man walked over to the register "so what's the name of the lucky girl" he asked Ichigo smiled "her name is Rukia Kuchiki I met her 6 years ago" the man smiled "Do want a box for that" "yes please" Ichigo said "It's her birthday tomorrow and I'm asking her to marry me, I was look for a ring for 3 months but I know this one is perfect" the man smiled and Ichigo paid the bill "thank you for coming, and good luck" Ichigo walked out the store and looked at the ring he knew it worth the 5,809 dollars he paid for it. He even got it engraved it read "Rukia my white moon"
End Flashback:

He started at the engraving he had on it and just cried all night there was nothing he could do but cry she was gone. Finally at 10 am 15 hours after they declared Rukia dead Buyakua came in. "If this is for breakfast I'm not hungry" "No its different, we found someone this morning she was hurt and hungry but know who she is. Ichigo looked and his eyes widened he could not believe it "RUKIA" he ran up to hug her, but she had already met him halfway there. "I thought you were dead" Ichigo said crying and kissing the side of her head. "No I'm not he just beat me but I'm fine" "I'm so glad you're ok and I will get the bastard that hurt you" Rukia didn't disagree but she knew one thing the due to the fact that she was declared dead she was no longer engaged and felt somewhat sad hugging her ex-fiancé, plus her ring was gone.  "I love so much you know that" she said kissing him "Me too" Ichigo said. "All that time that I was trying to crawl my way back after escaping Azain, I was thinking of you, the entire time" that statement brought tears to Ichigo's eyes and he just hugged her until, they finally looked at each other and Ichigo knew the circumstances behind the wedding. Ichigo got one knee in front of Rukia and asked "Rukia Kuchiki will you marry me"  Rukia looked at him as he took out the ring she thought was gone and place it on her finger she gasped. "Yes Ichigo I will marry you" she when down to his level and they hugged. Rukia was just as surprised as the first time

Flashback: Rukias P.O.V

It was my birthday and I was happy, but I still don't understand why did Ichigo bring me to his mother's grave. I was looking out into the horizon I hope Ichigo would turn around it always makes me happy to see sunsets, but instead she makes me stand up, and I wipe the snow off my legs now I'm really confused. He tells me that his mother wasn't here for his graduation or to see his future kids but is here for this ok now I'm LOST. No.. no wait all of a sudden he drops to his knee and says "Rukia I've known you scene I was 15 and you helped me save my family and now I want you to be part of the family" I'm so happy because I know what this means. Now he asks me the best question I have ever been asked "Rukia will you marry me and be the mother of my children" Tears fall down my face and I say "YES" he takes my hand gently and takes the ring out of its holder and places it on my finger, I also catch a glimpse of the words he had engraved on it "Rukia my white moon". This is the best birthday of my life the man of my dreams has given me a beautiful diamond ring and asked me to marry him I couldn't be happier.
End Flashback

"Thank you Ichigo for everything" Rukia said hugging her soon to be husband "I love you" she said "I love you too she said"

"Aww you never told me that you missed me that much honey" she said with tears in her eyes "I did it was the most heartbroken I had ever felt in my life" Ichigo and Rukia kissed "I love you" they said to each other. "Rukia I think she's finished" Rukia saw the baby wasn't feeding any more. Rukia fixed her nightgown and wiped the execs milk off the baby's face.  Rukia burped Masaki and handed her to Ichigo "Hi baby girl he said did you like that story" the baby clapped and laughed wanting a hug from her father. He brought Masaki up so she could wrap her tiny arms around her father's neck as much as she could.  "I love you too" he said happily rubbing her back. Rukia's life change so much scene she had met Ichigo, five years after their wedding Rukia had finally become pregnant with Masaki, after 5 year of trying but failing. Every night she and Ichigo would tell the baby a story, even when she was still in Rukia's tummy. Ichigo had changed Rukia's life so much and she could be happier with her loving child and husband.
