Lost and Found

"Hey Kasey do you want to come over" Kasey's friend Jenna asks. "No I'm sorry I can't I have a meeting for the mutant rights club, in that new pizza restaurant downtown" Kasey told her friend. "Wait isn't that a one hour walk from here" Jenna asked "Yeah but I'm going to use the transport tubes, my tells me I'm mature enough for it" Kasey says proudly. "Ok then I hope you have fun" "Don't worry I will" Kasey answers. "Oh yeah I almost forgot be careful with that transport, my cousin says he has friend that got lost using them" Jenna says, "Don't worry I will be fine" says Kasey.

When Kasey arrives at the transport tube's gets in "New New York Pizz.. AHHHHHHHHHHHH" she is sucked up by the tube, and before she knows it, she is dropped off at a stop. Kasey get's up from the floor and looks around and says "where am I?"

One hour later at the Fry family's apartment, the phone rings and Leela goes to pick it up. "Hello" she answers, on the phone is a chaperone for the meeting "We wanted to inform you that your daughter Kasey Fry, never arrived for the meeting" "What! What do you mean she never arrived" Leela screams in a panicked voice. "She was never at the meeting after school we wanted to know if she was sick today or was with you" "I'm going to call her friends, call me back you hear anything" Leela says "Ok we will Mrs. Fry". Leela holds her hand in her hands and try's to contain herself, all of sudden Fry walked in and asked "What's wrong Leela you look like, you're about to cry" Leela feel into Fry's arms and grabbed his shirt, she broke down saying "A chaperone from Kasey's club meeting called saying that she never made it there" Leela starts sobbing uncontrollably in her husband's shirt. "Who was she not there she has been talking about it all week" "I don't know Fry, what if she was ki-ki-kidnapped" Leela cries "Leela don't worry I will call her friend's house and see if she is there, and if she doesn't come back in half an hour we will call the police ok". Fry tries to comfort his wife. All of a sudden Kasey's twin sister Kaylie walks in. "What's going on" Kaylie asks. "The school says your sister never arrived for her meeting with the club, we're about to call Jenna and she if she is there". Kaylie looks down sadly and says "I just passed her house she was helping her mom garden, she asked if I wanted to help her and mom garden, because Kasey had to go the club meeting so she wasn't there. I told her I couldn't because I had to get home". "Fry she really could be in danger" Leela said starting to cry. "Leela I will call the police" Leela sat on the couch with her hand over her face crying. Kaylie sat next to her mothers and said "Mom I'm scared". Leela took her daughter in her arms and said "I am too sweetheart it's ok" "I hope she is ok" Kaylie says letting a tear fall down her cheek.

Meanwhile downtown Kasey was walking around trying to figure out where she was. She didn't recognize anything she went up to a man, and asked "Excuse me do you know where we are" the young man answers "Of course I do were in New New York" "Are we still in Manhattan" Kasey asks "No that about a 3 hours walk from here" Kasey stands in shock "Thanks for the help" Kasey says. Kasey walks to find a small corner to lay down in and says, "I could just walk home, but I don' t know which way to go, I've never been here before" She folds her knees and rests her chin on them "I don't even know which tube to take to go back home" Kasey tucks her face in her knees and starts to cry.

Back at the Fry family's apartment a police officer came over and asks can I get a description of what she looks like" "She looks like an angel" Fry says crying. "She's 8 years old, and she has one eye like me, red hair like my husband, and she had on a green shirt, with a pink skirt, and green and pink tights, and some white slipper like shoes, and she also has a purple backpack, with stars on it. She also has her ears pierced she just wears  little pink diamond earrings." Leela says to the police officer "Ok thank you do you have picture of her", "Yes this is her school picture from this year" Leela hands the officer a picture of little Kasey. "Ok thank you for that we will have this photo and information copied, and we will return the photo to you, also we would also like to know a few other things" "Ok" Leela says. "Do you think there might be any reason she could have run away" The officer asks "Not at all, she loves all of us, and we all love her and she knows that." "Ok also there one other thing, do you think that she might have gotten in a car with a stranger or gone off with one" "No, we thought the girls very strict rules about doing that, she knows not too" Leela says, "Yeah it's true she would never go with a stranger" Kaylie also says. "Ok well we will print this information out, and we will call you if anything comes up" "Ok thank you" Leela says.  Leela joins Fry on the couch, and starts crying with him. Kaylie goes to her and Kasey's room and sits on her bed, she lays down and looks up at the ceiling. She doesn't feel like getting her homework out, she's far too worried. Kaylie rolls to her side and see's the picture of her and sister at end of second grade, both smiling with an ice cream cone.  The picture was in a little frame that said "My Best Friend".  A Tear falls down Kaylies cheek and she says "Kasey you are my best friend"

1 hour later in downtown New New York, Kasey is walking around and sits on  park bench. "I might as well do my homework, the teacher says we're gonna get a detention if we don't do it" Kasey thought.  she gets out her math worksheet and thinks "Oh no multiplication, Kaylie always helped me with this" she puts her homework back in her bag. She sits on the bench for a little while untill she decides to talk a walk in the park it might help her clear her head.  She walks around for 2 hours, looking around the park and the city, she sits on another bench because she was getting tired, until she realizes, that it's getting dark out. "It must be 8:00" she thinks.  Her stomach starts growling, she knew she had missed dinner. She hadn't eaten anything since lunch back at school, and know she thought "Great not only am I lost I'm also hungry now". She sits there and now she really starts to cry "What if I never get back home, were will I live, I miss my family, I just wanna go home" she says out loud. Just then a police car pulls up a policemen steps out. "Hey you're the little missing girl, aren't you" the police man says approaching her. "Yes, can you bring me home, my  mom always says the police help people" Kasey says shyly, "Yes I do that's my job" The man says nicely, "Can you bring me home" the police man smiles and says "Of course, I talked to your family earlier today, they're worried sick about you".  

After a fifteen minute car ride, the police man escorts her up to her apartment, and he rings the doorbell. A red eyed Leela opens the door, and see's the officer, she then looks down and gasps. She kneels down and opens her arms, and her daughter runs into them. She gives her daughter a big hug and yells "Fry, Kaylie get in here" Fry and Kaylie both come in their eye's a bit red too, and they see Kasey. "Kasey" they both yell and run up to hug her. Her father kisses her on the head saying "we we're so worried, thank goodness you're home" "We missed you" her twin sister says. Leela looks up at the police officer and says "Thank you". He smiles and says "No problem it's my job" He closes the door to go alert the police that he had found the little girl.

As the family slowly breaks their hug, Leela tells her "I saved some dinner, you must be starving" Kasey shook her head and follows her mother to the kitchen. Her mother serves her the leftover pasta and chicken, and Kasey immediately starts to eat it. "So Kasey, what happened" Leela askes her daughter. "I used the transporter tubes and got lost". Leela puts her head in her hands, and says "I should have known better then to tell you were ready to use them, I'm so sorry sweetheart". "It's ok mom, I'm home and I will never do it again" Leela hugs her daughter. "We're so glad you're back home, we all love you" Kasey smiles and says "I know and I love you all too"

Later at night when both girls are in their room, Kasey can't get to sleep, and neither can Kaylie. "Kasey" Kaylie says walking up to her sister, "Yeah" Kasey says. "Can I sleep with you tonight, I can't sleep". Kasey smiles and says "Sure". It's what the two girls always do when they can't sleep. "Kasey" Kaylie whispers, "yeah" Kasey whispers back. "I was so worried when you were missing, and I just wanna say that even though we fight sometimes, you're my sister and I love you". Kasey smiles and says "I love you too Kaylie, you're my best friend". The two girls hugged and fell asleep.

The next morning Leela walks in the girls room, and see's the two girls sleeping on Kasey's bed. Leela smiled and closed the door. Leela walks back into the kitchen, and see's Fry eating the pancakes she made that morning. "Leela you better wake up the girls, if they don't wake up soon they're gonna miss breakfast". Leela says "That's not a problem I called the school, they're staying home today, Kasey was missing all day, and both girls were up all night they're just exhausted they need a rest".  Fry smiled and said "You're right". Leela smiled and kissed Fry. Leela walk to their room to get dressed. "Oh yeah and Fry" "Yeah" Fry said looking up. "Leave some pancakes for us"
